Warriedar Resources Hits 4m @ 5.00 g/t Au at Fields Find Project, Western Australia

Introduction:

Warriedar Resources Limited (ASX: WA8) has reported notable gold and copper intercepts from its greenfields drilling program at the Fields Find Project in Western Australia's Murchison region, highlighted by 4m @ 5.00 g/t Au from 92m.

Drill Results:

  • 4m @ 5.00 g/t Au from 92m (Mopoke Prospect) [MORC005]
  • 8m @ 1.46 g/t Au from 24m (Sandpiper Prospect) [FSPRC023]
  • 4m @ 1.58 g/t Au from 25m (Sandpiper Prospect) [FSPRC021]
  • 1m @ 1.66% Cu, 0.22 g/t Au, 102 ppm Mo, 16 g/t Ag from 34m (Warriedar Copper Prospect) [WRRC002]‍
  • 4m @ 0.81% Cu, 0.12 g/t Au, 291 ppm Mo, 6 g/t Ag from 40m (Warriedar Copper Prospect) [WRRC003]

Project Overview:

The Fields Find Project is located in the Murchison region of Western Australia. The recent drilling focused on the central corridor of Fields Find West, where late monzonite porphyries intrude the greenstone sequence. The program covered four prospects: Mopoke, Sandpiper, Falcon, and Warriedar Copper.

The drilling has confirmed a multi-phase porphyry intrusive system with a significant footprint identified within an area approximately 7km long, from Sandpiper in the north to Warriedar Copper in the south. The contact of the porphyry and surrounding greenstone units defines a significant and prospective exploration corridor.

Program Details:

The initial drilling program comprised 17 holes for 4,026 metres across the four prospects. At Sandpiper, recent soil sampling has extended the gold anomaly a further 500m to the south, defining a gold anomaly that measures 800m by 350m. The drilling successfully intercepted gold at the contact of the porphyry and the older greenstone sequence at Mopoke, while at Warriedar Copper, drilling returned Cu-Au-Ag-Mo mineralization similar to the previously mined Warriedar Copper lode.

Understanding These Results:

The results support a multi-phase porphyry intrusive model with robust scale potential. The intercepts at Mopoke and Sandpiper demonstrate the presence of significant gold mineralization in the shallow porphyry system, while the Warriedar Copper results indicate that Cu, Au, Mo & Ag mineralizing fluids were driven by the porphyry intrusion system.

The high-grade intercept at Mopoke (4m @ 5.00 g/t Au) significantly increases confidence in the broader porphyry systems being mineralized. The Sandpiper results confirm that mineralization is more extensive at shallow depths and along strike than previously known.

Management Commentary:

Dr Amanda Buckingham, Warriedar Managing Director and CEO:

“The assays from our initial Fields Find West drilling have demonstrated the wider presence of significant gold mineralisation in the shallow porphyry system previously identified at Fields Find. This is a meaningful development, both in terms of our exploration model for this central corridor at Fields Find West and for overall exploration prospectivity of this area to hold substantial accumulations of gold."

"We plan to return to this target zone during H1 CY2024 to test the extent of the mineralised system and its potential to deliver a sizeable deposit(s) of mineable, economic ounces.”

Next Steps & Catalysts:

Warriedar plans to return to the Fields Find West target zone during H1 CY2024 to test the extent of the mineralized system and its potential to deliver sizeable deposits of mineable, economic ounces.

Further drilling in the central corridor area is planned, targeting the identified highly fertile contact between the porphyry and greenstone units and related hydrothermal systems. Additional surface mapping and structural interpretation is planned at Warriedar Copper to increase confidence in the orientation of the high-grade copper bearing lodes before further drilling.

Commodity Outlook:

Gold and copper continue to be important commodities in the global market. The potential discovery of a porphyry-related gold-copper system in Western Australia, a premier mining jurisdiction, is notable. The polymetallic nature of the mineralization, including gold, copper, molybdenum, and silver, adds to the project's potential value.

Conclusion:

The initial drilling results from Fields Find West have confirmed the presence of a porphyry-related gold-copper system with robust scale potential. The high-grade gold intercepts and the extensive soil anomaly at Sandpiper highlight the project's potential to host notable gold deposits. With follow-up drilling planned for H1 CY2024, Warriedar Resources is well-positioned to further define and expand the mineralization at Fields Find.
